Note: The National Guard Training yard has a second suit in a shipping container crate out back behind the mechanic shop. You can get that one without pissing off the sentry bot by opening the mechanic's shop.
If you side with the institute synths protect the power armours so that's a big heads up Edit: also if it says "help defend the checkpoint" that means the synths protecting armour need help and you can find qrmor near by
i advise lvling up before collecting every power armor in this video, the higher your lvl , the higher the chance of getting t51 , t60, or even x01 power armor. Also if you want t-51 power armor you need to atleast be lvl 15, and you need to be lvl 26 to get x-o1 power armor
He actually missed a few, if you go to gray garden and go on top of the highway pass and continue going left you'll find a full suit of power armor just waiting there depending on your level when reaching that area
The Brotherhood of Steel and The Atom Cats are the only 2 Factions that sell Power Armor Pieces.
The Atom Cats are far more valuable to keep alive cuz they sell you 1 or 2 X-01 Armor Pieces every 48 to 72 in-game Hours to complete those Incomplete X-01 Armor Sets found out in the Commonwealth after you pass Level 28.
Fun Tip: Once Rowdy from the Atom Cats says “The Atom Cats have the most far out Mods this side of the Apocalypse.” Do a Quicksave and look at her Inventory, if she doesn’t have exactly what you are looking for…reload the Game until she does sell what you are looking for.
I’m only looking to complete my X-01s and I need like 50+ Total Armor Pieces so it’s gonna be a long process for me.
For the one at Mass Pike Interchange, if you unalive the gunner captain before they are able to get into the power armor the entire thing will be available otherwise you have to hide and wait for the gunner to exit it.

Here the list of levels you need to get for the power armor
1 T-45 = lvl 1
2 T-51 = lvl 15 or higher
3 T-60 = need lvl 60 or join the brotherhood of steel
4 X-01 = lvl 35 or lvl 45
5 raider armor = lvl 1 but some times the raiders wil jump out of the armor
