A fun critique style video where I add commentary on the amount of plot armor in Game of Thrones. This video really showcases some of the bad writing and lack of tension in the season.

16.02.2023Love the cut between season 1 Robert Barathion dies by a fucking boar to season 8 every character just survives dozens of attackers at once.

16.02.2023I can believe Arya got slashed and gutted and that she could fight and walk around for a while, but there ain't no medieval medicine to fix that. She'd have died eventually without some kinda magic.

16.02.20232:44 I thought swords were meant to cut, not to act like metal bars

16.02.2023Battle of the Bastards has to be the most egregious, well that it Arya being stabbed multiple times and falling into a literal SEWER (yes canals in those times were full of human waste).
But BotB was just silly, there is no way Jon would have survived, regardless of how good a fighter he is.

16.02.2023To be fair Jaime also was pardoned for killing the Mad King. Jon being sent off was basically the same thing

15.02.2023Cersei and her issues with her contract stating that she is bound to keep Tyrion alive is just hilarious 🤣🤣

15.02.2023Theres a lot of moments when the characters should be dead by season 2 by just a stab in the back
The Dude
15.02.2023Aria being stabbed and then falling in a sewage river and then walking to find help was a moment of disbelief for me.

15.02.2023You forgot the Sons of the Harpy ambushing Daenerys in the arena only to try and kill literally everyone except Daenerys. She even slow-ass walked out of the protective circle they built for her and stared a Drogon for some good 20 seconds and the fuckers still threw a spear to Drogon instead of her

15.02.2023At this point i expected jon to just walk towards ramsay, stab him in the face and go walk away just like that
helio hd
15.02.2023good to remember that: apart of jon snow ressurreiction which is likely to happen in TWOW, all other scenes are made up by D&D for the show
Gazza2792
15.02.2023The only part I disagree with was when tormund got hit in the face, while it looks like I sword it was actually a spear that hit him in the head, while being hit across the side of your head by a spear can kill you it is more likely to give to a bad cut like we saw him receive, other than that I completely agree with this video

13.02.2023I just rewatched the series, and the entire time during seasons 5-8, I started getting really agitated, not by all the bad dialogue, writing, character assassinations, plot holes that everyone agrees are terrible through most these seasons, but the miraculous 'saved by the bell' moments from the second half of the series. Like so many, it's ridiculous, and almost the opposite of everything seasons 1-4.

13.02.2023Plot armor is a part of fiction. It’s fun to call it out, but stupid to complain about. Drama is not meant to be realistic lol. If you’d like to watch realism, I recommend documentaries lol.

13.02.20232:25 he is Jon Snow, the king who was promised. Lord of light is protecting him.

13.02.2023all of the szenes from "the long night" don't count cause you can't see em anyway
SIGN-MAN
13.02.2023John's plot armor is understandable since he's the chosen one and will end the long night…….or not smh

13.02.2023I agree with all of these except the one where Jon wakes up from the dead. That's to show how he is destined to save the world. The gods brought him back.

13.02.2023Jon basically dead, revived & save Westeros just to be exiled to beyond the wall by his ungrateful step brother & sisters
1 1
13.02.2023I think the White Walker at Hardhome gets a pass because it’s just toying with Jon Snow and believes it can’t be killed, hence the shock on its face when Jon deflects its blow. Funnily enough after that the WW never engage in hand-to-hand with the main characters again aside from the one they snuck up on beyond the wall, just throwing Wights at them instead.
On the other hand, that gets cancelled out for me by how ridiculous Arya not being dead in that canal was.

13.02.2023I’m very surprised Sam lived

12.02.2023I leave Podrick out of this since his rod can defeat everyone 🤣

12.02.2023Okay… I get that the plot armour is hardcore with Arya and Jon, but also remember that Beric Dondarrion died 7 times. Dragons and shit exist in this time, so the faceless man and gods of fire and whatever else probably had something to do with keeping them alive until he was done with them. Or until season 8 happened
Lemon Acid Rounds
12.02.20237:30 This shouldn't be in this video its not a plot armor! She wanted to show him how powerful she is if he decides to double cross her in the future

12.02.2023Season 1: character stubs toe. Dies.
Season 8: character gets stabbed 50 times in the chest, set on fire, decapitated, eaten by bears and yeeted into the ocean. Recovers in 2 days

12.02.2023I think getting mad when things unlikely happend is the stupidest thing ever. Life is never what is most likely to happen thats the whole idea of probability. All shows, movies, and stories would be boring if the most probable thing happend in every situation.
Dani Ho
12.02.2023the whites WERE hugging him because he just took a sword to the face.
Geez. He's got stronger skin than anybody and can take a sword to the face. So what you do? You try to drown him. How hard is it to understand? xD It's a great scene.

12.02.2023Jon and Arya were my favorites in S1-S4.
But they became walking Plot Armors.
I was rooting them to die since season 6 because they were destroying the already stablish tone of the series:
"You are stupid, you die."

12.02.2023I died when Tyrion was getting dragged into the water and THE FUCKING Dark Souls death screen comes on
Foxtrot6624
11.02.2023Yeah I’m pretty sure you don’t actually know what plot armour is
Zielak2397
11.02.2023I'll give Jaime a pass, that blade could feasibly get lodged in gold-covered prosthetic. And seeing someone block a sword with his hand could probably be surprising.
Arya was just ridiculous. Deep stomach injuries, internal damage probably, most certainly infected with all the shit that would be dumped into the river. But nah, she's fine. That's not even plot armor, it's plot energy forcefield.
Jon during the battle was even dumber, but the sudden saves are kind of justified. The formations were broken, so it was an utter chaos. Backstabs made perfect sense – though that never happened to named characters. Except maybe Ed?
Fucking Coldhands just pops in and out when he's needed. And swimming in armor and furs is easy, trust us. No, we can't show you, trust us I said. I wonder why anyone even wears armor, since swords can just go right through.
Also you forgot Ramsay opening the dog kernel. That asshole also had plenty of plot armor.

11.02.2023Game of Thrones died with Tywin Lannister
Fernando José Muñoz López
11.02.2023Jon Snow has the best plot armor I've ever seen. He's even going to have a spin-off, not even the ending of the series can stop him.
Fernando José Muñoz López
11.02.2023The Battle of the Bastards is both one of the best and one of the worst sequences in the whole series. Awful screenplay, amazing directing.
Fernando José Muñoz López
11.02.2023Remember Tormund killed innocent people and committed war crimes in the first half of the series but then in the second half he just becomes the funny guy? He's the perfect example of how they ruined Game of Thrones.
Fernando José Muñoz López
11.02.2023Season 8 is amazing, every scene is worse than the previous one.
Sascher
11.02.2023I actually liked the first one, but I agree with the rest. It seems like they didnt know anymore how to create tension and always put the main characters into "dangerous" situations where they miraculously come out unharmed. Luck is nothing special if eveyone has it. I mean why is there even a word for seomething that is that normal.
yur johnson
11.02.2023I don’t mind the first one
Supercuts Delight
11.02.2023I was probably a little harsh on the first clip with Jaime, but after practicing with one hand for half the season and winning his first fight because of an ACCIDENT, comeee onnn.
