07.05.2023Can I substitute Bold Titanium white with White Scar itself when it comes to edge highlighting? Does Soulblight Grey darken it enought for White Scar to make that edges pop?
Scotty Skips
07.05.2023Another priming tip… it has been very hot out. The can recommends a max 77 degrees fahrenheit. Heed that warning. I used it the other day and the paint dried before it hit the mini leaving a grainy texture across my model.

07.05.2023i imagine the suggestions of soul blight will make painting my sacred rose sisters much easier then the attempt i made with army painters holy white

07.05.2023This is very validating as I'm planning on doing this method for my solar watch Custodes. Another thing to try is mortarion grime for a super grungy white

07.05.2023Da iawn ti! Looks great β the new contrast and shade paints are really nice. I've been enjoying playing around with them a lot.

07.05.2023Respect to your scheme, but one change I would make would be after the striking scorpion green I would use some spiritstone red on the eyes with a small detail brush and a very fine point. Personal preference.

07.05.2023The new grey wash is really nice. But I still think apothecary whites finish is my fav.

07.05.2023I'm really excited to try that soul blight grey to paint a white horse for a cavalry unit.

30.04.2023I don't have a white armor army, but I'll try this out using the White contrast paint instead of the wash.

30.04.2023Painting in white just makes you stronger. I choose the chogorian way and play the white scars. Itβs tough but when I get a chaplain or librarian and can use other colors. The skill comes out because itβs so much easier

30.04.2023Looks good, interesting how the grey wash keeps the white clean, vs. Choosing to do like a darker bone type of wash.

30.04.2023Painting White is the only reason why I never started white scars.
So thank you for this video!

30.04.2023Fun fact, as my chapter is not white at all I though this video would not be that usefull, but thanks to you I discovered the Black Templar contrast and I can stop wasting my time trying to highlight my Abannon Black bolter edges with grey xD

30.04.2023this will make painting my custom eldar super easy. Since I already have apothecary white I'm going to see how it would look with that instead of the soulblight shade

30.04.2023wow thats even speedier than the speed paint technique Ive tried

29.04.2023This is also really helpful for setting up old school World Eaters and other white armored chapters. Well done!

29.04.2023Are you using contrast paints? If so whatβs the mix? Iβm always nervous about using contrast because Iβm not sure how to.
Jake Carney
29.04.2023Looks ace! What did you use on the base and the legs to get that dust on the feet to match so well? Looks super effective!
Melstoast
29.04.2023Seems like I found out parts of this formula by accident already, minus the contrast paint and having a few differing steps. Nice!
SweAtilaa
29.04.2023Gonna do a 5 man space marine squad where everyone is from a different chapter and this is a really nice white armor! Might do something like that, minus the contrast step since contrast paint is pretty expensive, especially for a paint I won use too much.
Tough I do get Black Templar contrast paint, really like the black with green/blue tones, feels more real than both Black Legion and Army Painterβs speedpaint black.

29.04.2023How did you do the base and base blending on the boots?
