Kinji Hakari is a character that gets alot of flack for his style of fighting and “luckiness” in battle. In this video I will be explaining why Hakari’s abilities are not just limited to dumb luck and how he actually is one of the most skilled and resourceful characters in the entire series of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Hope you enjoy.

05.09.2022lots of great points, and i think the best one is that hakari is the one who made his domain in the first place. Ever since the introduction of binding vows, I've wondered about the extent to which someone could use them in combat – the possibilities seem almost endless with them. everything from time based pacts to sacrificing crows or arms really goes to show how much utility they have, and i think hakari is someone who makes the most use of it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hakari's innate technique is literally just 'luckiness', and he built his domain around that concept, abusing pacts that give him massive rewards in return for a very low chance of activation, when in reality the chance of activation is MUCH higher than he lets on due to his technique. Not to mention, considering the difficulty of realising a domain (shown by Megumi's struggle in creating his, despite his technique, as well as the incredibly low number of people who can actually use them), Hakari being capable of realising such an insanely complicated domain shows just how talented he is.
If anything, he doesn't seem remotely as blessed as someone like Okkotsu in terms of techniques alone, he's just someone who's able to take what's given to him and make full use of it.

05.09.2022Sorry but Hakari is a shit character in an equally shit arc. He's a tryhard guy that Gege completely forgot to organically introduce in the story, you can tell this by a very simple thought experiment: remove Hakari from the plot altogether, does anything change? Well, it doesn't. You'd lose a plot thread, but in the grand scheme of things everything remains the same.

05.09.2022I like your argument but you totally forgot about Mei Mei, she herself states that she never liked her technique and considered it weak so she focused on physical ability and cursed energy but when she maxed out on those she finally turned back to her technique and since then she's been a grade 1 sorcerer whose technique had only been countered by Gojo. She showed how to make an unfortunate situation into a blessing way before Hakari showed up.
But it's still a great video, I really enjoyed it!

05.09.2022It surprises as well how people could call Hakari dumb. Being a loud personality doesn’t make you an idiot. He constantly shows just how smart he is from the moment we meet him. This also extends to his domain. The dude is literally playing slots and the reward is cursed energy. The game is also rigged in his favor with character themes that give him bonus percentages. All he needs is one win and that also gives him bonus percentages that lead to a snow ball effect of wins. Gambling favors the house. Hakari is the house.

05.09.2022The irony within this is that Charles was actually correct in assuming that killing Hakari within his domain was the best possible option.

05.09.2022King from one punch man is also one of the perfect example of plot armor done right
Ender Gaming
05.09.2022His ability is literally to be immortal as long as he gets a jackpot, which is based on RNG, he used it so many times that it can't be considered anything more than plot armour. Honestly, that fight was so boring I almost quit the series, I just wish both him and the electric guy killed eachother so we are done with them.

04.09.2022This seems very disingenuous. Your entire argument boils down to "luck is a factor in everything, therefore it can always be used as an excuse regardless of context to an extreme degree".
Yes, people are lucky to have advantages over others, such as being born with more talent. No, that doesn't mean success or failure due to currently occurring chance is just as valid or satisfying as success or failure based on decision and the context surrounding it.
Someone who is much stronger might be due to lucky. Saying they won a fight because they're stronger makes sense and in a sense you could say that they achieved the victory as a result of luck.
But that is not the same as winning a fight because the enemy slipped on a banana peel.
One shapes the context of the story, won takes control of the story.

04.09.2022That's stupid to put Goku on plot armor list. Struggle and winning in the end is how most fight are won, is that plot armor, no. Naruto is Plot Armor whobhas never died, struggled in a fight, giving every ability and talk himself to victory. Without Naruto there would be no Naruto. Without Goku the series has proved would still go on. He's died several times. And the plot moved on Without him.

04.09.2022I didn't mind the luck aspect. It was cool and that's what his abilities are all about but the healing due to infinite cure energy and the binding vow were a bit too much

04.09.2022i love how they in jujutsu kaisen did the whole revealing your technique thing good , always in anime i was like wtf why would you explain the enemy how it works but in jujutsu kaisen it actually gives you a buff xD
guy
04.09.2022he’s not really lucky, his domain isn’t about if he hits a jackpot, it’s when he hits one, the odds of him hitting one are like 1/256, but on his unluckiest day it only took him 30 rolls, maybe i’m wrong but his whole thing is like the house always wins, kashimo made the mistake of thinking he could just wait for him to get unlucky enough not to hit a jackpot, but after getting one the chances of getting another increases, i don’t think he’s lucky i think he’s the house and the opponents are the players as opposed to people thinking hakari is the player
Some Guy
04.09.2022I don’t think black clover fits the category because the in canon explanation for any plot armor is that Lucius was using time magic to manipulate the timeline to be the way he wanted literally meaning that if it seems like the characters got too lucky it’s because they didn’t Lucius just kept rewinding until they got the luck they needed

04.09.2022We love kin-Chan❤️
Sage Of Rage
04.09.2022The only plot armour Hakari had was Kashimo getting in his feelings and not using his cursed technique, which in the grand scheme of things, is good story writing. Safe to say if Kashimo used it, we’d be having a very different video on Hakari
Dr. Donkey
04.09.2022Man I had to read how on how his ability works like 10 times and still didn’t fully understand it…
Khalduras
04.09.2022I dont exactly agree with the examples you used to make the argument (black flash etc) but i agree that his is a "plot armor" done better. The thing fans dont seem to get is that Hakari isnt exactly "lucky". He is instead "controlling" his luck. Fans havent caught on because theyre too overwhelmed by "mass texts" but the point is that so many parts of Hakari's de is actually in his complete favor. Fans fell into the similar mind set that kashimo had in that Hakari's "faster spins" mode is worse than his "Probability change" mode when both of them are just as broken and advantageous for him (1 lets him reset instances while the other just rolls so fast to the jackpot he doesnt have to wait for the anime animations to play). In other words, fans need to understand that the domain is fucking rigged lmao

03.09.2022Hakari realized he's got plot armor with him, so he's go all out, full reckless abandon lmao

03.09.2022If fans feel it was plot armour it was plot armour.
I did not read it so i don't know what you are talking about so i will not say that if it is a plot armour or not.
Cameron Hayes
03.09.2022I think people don’t realize that hakari’s domain is based off casinos and how the house always wins. The majority of readers didn’t understand how his domain worked when it was dumped on us and neither do his opponents.

03.09.2022Most of the fanbase still don’t understand his domain expansion so of course they would say something stupid nothing about the fight was plot armor and hakari was even holding back during the kashimo fight too granted kashimo saved his CT
Atomic angel
03.09.2022people just say it’s plot armor as a joke, you have a point of how smart and intelligent of a character he is, but when it comes to How it’s seen people will jokingly call it something in relation to that.

30.08.2022My argument to the point that Hakari is lucky is the existence of Geto and Gojo.
How lucky do you have to be to land those kind of CTs? They didn't develop or create them. They were born with it.

Faham Ali
28.08.2022I think a better way of putting it is that he puts himself in scenarios and situations where he can get lucky. Fighting Gojo means he would lose no matter how unlucky he is. Getting oneshot means he cant become immortal no matter how unlucky he is etc. If he is in a situation where luck matters, he can take advantage of it. It's why he would just straight up lose to most of the verses strongest chars without even a fair fight despite his ability being immortality because luck is a none factor. Thats how I see it anyway.

28.08.2022A big aspect of lucky characters, or people in general, is that very often they're people who put themselves in position to capitalize on their luck. They play to their outs. "The situation is bad, but if this thing happens then…" and they set themselves up as if it's a foregone conclusion that the lucky thing will happen. Then when that thing, whatever it is, happens, they're ready for the tables to turn. They don't try to get themselves into pinches, but when in a pinch, the lucky ones are the ones are those that are ready for any opportunity and seize them without hesitation.

28.08.2022Its the same way pro poker players seems luckier than the average player but really they just know how to capitalize on luck
