The Navy Sports Rundown is presented by Leidos.

The “Silent Service” uniforms are designed to honor the U.S. Submarine Force, its families and supporting personnel on Dec. 9 at the 124th Army-Navy game presented by USAA at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally by CBS.

Navy Football offers a unique college football game day atmosphere and pageantry that dates back to 1879. The Midshipmen enter their 143rd season of competition. On December 19, Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk introduced Brian Newberry as the 40th head coach in program history. Newberry had served as defensive coordinator from 2019-2022.

The Mids pride themselves on dominance against service academy foe and archrival Army Black Knights in the Star Series. Navy is 39-4-2 against Army in the annual series over the past 45 years.

Navy has cultivated a dynasty in its NCAA Division I Olympic, distance and endurance sports. Among its 17 conference championships in the 2022-23 season, the USNA swept the Patriot League titles in Cross Country (Men’s and Women’s), Swimming & Diving (Men’s and Women’s), Women’s Rowing, and Indoor Track & Field and Outdoor Track & Field (both Men’s and Women’s). Navy has won 147 Patriot League titles since joining the conference in the 1991-92 campaign. On March 1, Gladchuk announced that Navy would sponsor Women’s Triathlon as its 36th varsity sport, beginning competition in the fall.

Men’s Rugby compiled an 18-0 record and clinched the Collegiate Rugby Association of America (CRAA) Division 1-A National Championship.
