15.11.2022The 10k finishing time seems out of line with his recent herculean acts in the 5000m and 2.4k. If it was really the heat and humid slowing him down, why only in the 10000m and not at least in the 5 where he ran 14:44. Should be running 15:44 instead for consistency? A professional athlete like him is surely more consistent than some heat and humid factor which to me is just bull. According to race converter websites his 14:44 is equivalent to at least 30:25–30:30. 31:55 is 1.5min slower. If he also admitted he didn't went out too hard and stayed on 75sec pace, why would he run 1.5min slower unless he intentionally pretended to run slower just to evade suspicions of drugs? In fact, some more zealous sections of our community are quite confident he should have been Singapore's first athlete under 30min. 31:55 just seems like an outright farce. I personally look at his finishing line reaction with all that calisthenics right after and also his mental alertness and eyeball movement while responding to interviewwers I do not think he even ran at 75 percent effort.
If so then all this hoo-haa that's made up to be about Asian games 10k qualification is just a real ruse that was fully or partially intended by him. And the even worst motive for this ruse is another ruse of his which is that he took drugs for the 5k race. I dont know about the 2.4k as it's not an IAAF distance so it wont be fair for me to comment too much on it. It would however not be surprising if drugs were also used in the 2.4k though…
I know I'm gonna receive some flak saying these things but maybe it's because those people come from different backgrounds with different ideology, training and mental aptitude. I know quite a number of the running community believes he took drugs recently to inject hope back into a waning and aging career amid the COVID pandemic. I followed him before the pandemic very closely as I was quite curious as to why certain people keep insisting he took drugs. My own observation after 3-4 years seems to favor the theory that he did so…..sorry to say my bad ……

15.11.2022It's really hard to push for Sub32 for the 10km in Asia. What was his weekly mileage leading to the trials?
