09.12.2023see I'm a different type of gamer. I don't just play the "meta" build. I like poe for the different builds people come up with. I always play the new builds of the league and move on from the game when I've played the interesting ones.
@dragonofthesky9999
07.12.2023i feel personally attacked lol. im good enough to get MB or close to it in a league now but i still suck ass cause it takes basically the full 3 months of grinding only this game
@taiwanisacountry
03.12.2023I was getting ready to release my own version of Path of Building, when POB got launced. I have been making builds since Warbands. That was a bit over a year after the release. I have been crafiting since essence league. That is 3 years after launch. I made my first mirror tier crafting in crucible. So yeah last league. I don't count my stuff synthesis since it was mirror tier for me. Nor in delirium where I early discovered the aura stacker and bought up everything needed for me and my bro. We had a blast trivialising all content in the game. Our builds ended up costing around 10 mirrors each, but they were bought for cheaps.
I do have autism and ADHD giving me hyperfocus and an unending hunger for knowledge within my passion.
Harvest league was stupidly broken, but sentinel league was even more broken. And crucible was just crazy broken, but not in the same way. And of course hinekoras locks, you could get them early on for cheaps. I bought some to sell later. Since I knew they were under prices by a lot. Thanks to experience and game knowledge.
What I am saying is, I am still learning, and I am still progressing my builds, crafting and currency strats.

03.12.2023Getting good doesn't equal gametime it equals gametime with a concerted effort to improve. Similar to how playing random notes on a guitar doesn't make you an expert, you have to be focused on your approach to getting better at the game. Time your campaign runs, measure your divines per hour, improve your map clear times and pathing, and watch market trends. I've sometimes learned more about the game from watching videos explaining knowledge I didn't have then playing without that knowledge assuming I knew everything.
@sindaimos814
03.12.2023Pls turn of that music behid
@wianbason2984
03.12.2023i dont have alot of time so i follow a meta guide untell i enevatably in my arogance stop following the guide for things i find cooler
beat the big bosses for the first time this league going for mage blood next one

28.11.2023It took me a long time to get good and I play a lot. The key for me was figuring out how I like to play and then doing everything to promote that playstyle. I'd say that I finally clicked back when Lightning Strike was meta and I could automate flasks. Bingo.

28.11.2023Took me 3 years too realise those different coloured pantheon mods weren't all included but just selecting said pantheon.
Lolcohol
26.11.2023Great video! The only way to stop sucking at this game is to start a YouTube channel and get roasted for everything you don't know until you know slightly more than nothing. EZ

26.11.2023Here's the issue though, trying to make your own build and getting nowhere punishes the player a lot, as they either have reroll a new character and trudge through the campaign again, or try to respec their current character, which can be a massive headache.

23.11.2023i hate trading cause half of the time it takes 30mins to buy 1 thing
PreFekT2013
23.11.2023I have played for over 4k hours and I have never once looked at a guide. I get to level 90 and typically reroll to use something i found. I never play in standard so i play each character for a bout 2 weeks and forget about them for the most part. I've never sold a single item and rarely purchase anything. I'm pretty sure this is not the way most choose to play the game but i really enjoy it. Mines are my favorite and EOW or Forbidden Rite are the 2 skills i've been trying to make a build around. T14 is the furthest i've gotten in 2 weeks. The tree changes often enough that there is always a new thing to try out or something that needs to be avoided. My currency tab is always nearly empty and i am ok with that. I don't feel entitled to have exactly what others have regardless of effort like it seems many do. Ohh well 3.23 soooooooon

23.11.2023Been playing on and off since beta always grab a build guide but then alter it and use them for just a guideline. Still have fun

23.11.2023So PoE has always been hard for me to approach.
Don't get me wrong, I love the game and I've been playing a long time up to red maps and beyond.
But my ADHD makes the complexity and FOMO absolutely psychologically overwhelming.
The part of me that is "I WANT EVERYTHING NOW" is absolutely incompatible in a game in which you MUST compromise on the content you consume.
What I realized is that I have to greatly reduce my scope, the game is good in all aspects, I have to shrink my consideration of it and go for a tangible, measurable goal in it.
I think I will try to start doing that by focusing exclusively on speedrunning the campaign.
4 Hour to act 10 seems like an achievable and easily measurable goal to set my eyes to, and I am sure that i'll learn a lot of things that can be applied to other aspects of the game.

22.11.2023This sack is a true work of art. We extend our heartfelt thanks for creating this mesmerizing video exclusively for kisluxbag .

22.11.2023Been playing since the beginning. Definitely just average at this game. Never got a character to level 100 and never touched true endgame. Still have fun trying to make God awful builds work lol

22.11.20232600 Hours and I’ve never killed Shaper or Uber elder. Let that sink in. All my hours were on HC so the vast majority was me dying endlessly and leveling in campaign. Lately I’ve been playing soft core friend found (no trade, just among friends) and I still haven’t done it. I get bored before the late game bosses.

21.11.2023The issue with making your own build and not following a guide in PoE is that the game will in fact actively punish you if the player doesn't know what they are doing. Sounds simple on the surface just learn the game. However, there are so many systems in place that to actually understand PoE the player needs to actually be good at math and love RNG otherwise the player will burn through their currency just to make a paper weight. That's why most people don't make it past the beach or past red maps.
Inzania Telcontar
21.11.2023I always recommend people to try SSF using a meta build guide or play a semi-SSF on trade and only trade crafting materials. Best way to learn the very complex trading system.

21.11.2023i have 2.5k hours in poe but im still a pepega, hardest part for me is finding strats for farming currency, its insane how some people are able to get 100 divines or more in 1-2 weeks after league start.
Loud Pls
21.11.2023That amazes me every single time, I started on last year's january, improved a lot every league, last 2 leagues got a mageblood without any issue, and this league did a multi mirror build (around 5 mirrors), sometimes I chat with random players when they need help, and all of them tell me how they played for years and don't know how to craft even basic shit hahaha
So random

21.11.2023Pros and Cons of POE
Pros: No other game offers this much content and dopamine satisfaction
Cons: I cannot play any other as they do not give me dopamine satisfaction
Berserk Exilist
21.11.2023I think this is the fun part of the game, plus this is not the first game who did this kind of learning curve to play the game, Terraria …. Minecraft … Factorio … all have the same "problem" and yet still beloved by many players, and is fine! As long the dev knows who their audience is fine, instead of trying to satisfy ALL players like Fornite, just dedicate your game to the audience they know is fine too
Crueless Clueless
21.11.2023I played more than 6 years and I wasn't even aware of the Item Mod you have mentioned 1st.
Was able to do some stuff except uber bosses and conquerors in the Siege of the Atlas due to work and only cap to 20+ divines for a league and I can't get any higher. But to my defense, I never played meta stuffs. I do void sphere, decay support chain lightning, witchhunter's judgement ignite, etc. It's just so much fun doing your own thing despite me not completing pinnacle end game stuffs.

21.11.2023The feeling of always having new things to learn and the difficulty are the 2 main reasons i keep having fun with it. That's why i love HC SSF Ruthless, cause it's very hard and you have to create exotic builds with what you find to succeed. And man… the joy and excitement when you find a build enabling support !
ryan
21.11.2023I have never used a build guide since starting in legacy league. Lots of my builds fail and feel bad but there have been some super off meta builds I’ve made and ended up great. Example: bleed explosive arrow
